HaH!
HaH! is the name of our chili sauce products. The visual identity is set in NaN Rage Zipp, designed by the NaN team (Hugues Gentile, Fanny Hamelin, Fadhl Haqq, Léon Hugues, Jean-Baptiste Morizot, Luke Prowse, Florian Runge, Jolana Sýkorová).
Foundation for Scalia Law
The Foundation for Scalia Law is an independent organization that manages private gifts supporting the law school. The visual identity is typeset in Megavolt and Forma DJR, both designed by David Jonathan Ross. This is not the final selection, but it is my personal preference.
TJ Home Improvement
Based on TJ’s original design, I redrew the visual identity for TJ Home Improvement using a grid system and reset the type in Univers, designed by Adrian Frutiger.
ICFC: Institute for Consumer Financial Choice
The Institute for Consumer Financial Choice (ICFC) is an academic institute designed to study markets and their impact on consumer choice and deploy rigorous research on testable questions involving consumer finance to educate current and future policy makers. Its visual identity is typeset in Nickel Gothic Variable, designed by David Jonathan Ross.
simplexpression
Simplexpression is my wife’s jewelry design studio. Its visual identity is typeset in NaN Druid and NaN Druid Sans, designed by Anna Khorash and Reymund Schröder.
Familý
Lý Minh Anh’s Familý is a web book with stories my aunt had written about her parents and siblings, including my mother’s legacy. For her book cover, I set the title in NaN Serf and its sibling NaN Serf Sans, designed by Daria Cohen, Fadhl Haqq, Léon Hugues, Jean-Baptiste Morizot, Luke Prowse, and Florian Runge.
Career & Academic Services
Antonin Scalia Law School’s Career & Academic Services Office provides academic counseling to students, assists students and alumni in finding employment, and facilitates relations between the Antonin Scalia Law School and its alumni. Its visual identity is typeset in Acumin Variable, designed by Robert Slimbach.
Everlasting Eye Care
Optometrist Nguyễn Thị Mỹ An is a close friend of mine. She owns two Everlasting Eye Care offices. For her visual identity, I combined P22 Cezanne, designed by James Grieshaber and Michael Want, with Optician Sans, design by ANTI Hamar and Fábio Duarte Martins.
I Love Ngọc Lan
I Love Ngọc Lan is a tribute to a beautiful, talented Vietnamese singer whose life was cut short by multiple sclerosis. The visual identity is typeset in Memoriam, designed by Patrick Griffin.
Le Mekong Vietnamese Cuisine
Le Mekong Vietnamese Cuisine was a start-up ventured. I was hired to create the website and its print materials. For its visual identity, I combined HL Thư Pháp, designed by Nguyễn Hùng Lân, with Univers, designed by Adrian Frutiger.
Visualgui
Visualgui is my personal blog for over 20 years. For a long time, I went through many visual identities until I landed on Fit, designed by David Jonathan Ross.
ON Designs
ON Designs was a playoff on Omit Needless Designs. It was my online professional portfolio until I switched to my own name. The visual identity for ON Designs was typeset in Acumin Variable, designed by Robert Slimbach.
Rhymastic
Rhymastic is a Vietnamese rapper who was a lyricist when he was still an underground artist. I put together a collection of his notable verses to showcase Vietnamese typography. For his name, I set the type in Maelstrom Sans, designed by Kris Sowersby.
Vietjazz
Vietjazz was concocted for a graduate project on Brand Identity Design. Its visual identity was typeset in Univers, designed by Adrian Frutiger.
Hồ Hữu Tỷ
My father was a homebuilder. For his tribute website, I typeset his name, Hồ Hữu Tỷ, in Megazoid, designed by David Jonathan Ross.
Mẹ
Mẹ means mother in Vietnamese. For her tribute website, I set “Mẹ” in Queens, designed by Selma Losch.
Pro Web Type
Professional Web Typography was written for my graduate independent study. The cover of the web book was typeset in Bild, designed by David Jonathan Ross.
Ru
Quốc Bảo is a well-known Vietnamese songwriter whose works included a series of songs titled “Ru.” In showcasing this special series, I set the text in Love Light, designed by Robert Leuschke.
IB
Antonin Scalia Law School’s InBalance is a health initiative that hosts various programs and posts helpful information to support students’ well-being. The visual identity is typeset in Nickel Gothic, designed by David Jonathan Ross.
NSI
The National Security Institute at Antonin Scalia Law School is dedicated to finding practical answers to national security law and policy questions. Its visual identity was typeset in League Gothic, designed by Tyler Finck, Caroline Hadilaksono, and Micah Rich. This design was not presented to the client.
Twenty-Fifth Annual Judicial & Legislative Reception
Antonin Scalia Law School’s Twenty-Fifth Annual Judicial & Legislative Reception was a night of networking and camaraderie with alumni and the legal community to honor judges and legislators in the region. Its visual idenity was tyepset in Minion, designed by Robert Slimbach.
MMM
Monday Morning Memo was an internal newsletter to faculty, staff, students at Antonin Scalia Law School. Its visual identity was typeset in Futura, designed by Paul Renner.

Breakfast Background Briefing was a series of informal meetings between Scalia Law’s faculty and journalists. Its visual identity was typeset in Hepta Slab, designed by Mike LaGattuta.
Corley Institute
The Corley Institute at Antonin Scalia Law School promoted diversity and inclusion programs for law students and legal educators. Its visual identity was typeset in Minion, designed by Robert Slimbach.
